Our promise for positive impact
Take the iconic Royale Belge building, right at the edge of Brussels in the luscious greens of the Sonian Forest. Fill its six floors up with a bunch of goodness and you’ve got Mix Brussels—a place where Brusseleirs and travellers alike go to have a good time.

What we stand for. Always.
In our all-in-one hospitality concept, we blend food, wellbeing, sports, coworking, events, and a 4 star hotel—all together inspiring and supporting our ever-growing Mix community. In this club, we all fam! Wellbeing and connection are key in everything we do and offer. And that promise stretches way beyond our walls.
Every day, we strive to operate with the best intentions. In a way that benefits not just shareholders but all stakeholders, including workers, customers, communities, and the environment. A way that combines hospitality with social and ecological responsibility and challenges us to do our very best.
People are paying more attention to the impact of hospitality on the planet—and rightfully so. It’s on us to do better.
With certifications like B Corp, BREEAM, and SHE Travel, we want to show our commitment to doing business consciously and responsibly.

It’s all about people, really
You could say that’s an obvious claim when you’re in hospitality. It’s a sector for the people, by the people. Nevertheless, we feel the need to highlight it. Because we deserve extra care and support. And we’ll never sleep on providing it.
EMPOWERING WOMEN WHO TRAVEL ALONE
Mix Brussels is SHE Travel certified! This independent global label ensures our accommodations meet the unique needs of female (solo) travellers. Like training our staff to prioritize security, comfort and privacy. Or offering a range of services and amenities that are tailored to women’s needs.
Small act, big impact; we’ll never announce room numbers aloud, whether at reception or in the restaurant.
60% of all solo
travellers are female
EMPLOYING WITH EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
We’re keen on fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment that encourages our growing team to be the best version of themselves. Or any version they want to be, really. So we offer a range of benefits to support their wellbeing and development.
We promote eco-friendly commuting, such as biking. We all have group insurance, food vouchers and eco-vouchers and enjoy special deals at the hotel and wellness to support our wellbeing.
We can count on a culture of mutual feedback to keep improving our relationship.
Striking that 50/50 balance, with just as many women as men.
INCLUSIVITY IS A VERB
Creating a space to be your authentic self, free from judgment.
At Mix, we are committed to equality and inclusivity. We’re continuously improving our group classes and services to better suit everyone. Take our gender-neutral changing rooms for one.
While we’re proud of the progress we’ve made, we know there’s still more to do. Only then can we truly claim to be a space where everyone feels safe, valued, and equal—no exceptions.
Diversity is not a checkbox—it’s the heartbeat of everything we do.
Other things we’re committed to
Nature's got us and we've got nature
We’re fully committed to doing our part when it comes to water consumption and respecting local activities. We’ve taken meaningful steps to minimize our footprint, reduce waste, and support local sustainability. We also encourage our guests to join us in these efforts.

Inside life is low-footprint-proof.
At Mix, we take meaningful steps to reduce our environmental impact. While the changes may be subtle around the club and hotel, their effects are substantial.
– Showers and bathrooms are equipped with water flow regulators.
– Our laundry service is done on-site to reduce CO2.
– For energy efficiency, room temperatures can’t be adjusted more than +3°C or -3°C.
– We’ve got water fountains everywhere and encourage guests to bring reusable bottles.
– If guests skip room cleaning, we’ll treat them to a drink on the house. Cheers to less water!
Small act, big impact; We ask our gym members to use one towel per vissit. Why? Because it takes a whopping 10 liters of water to wash a single towel.

We’re lucky to have a great neighbour—the Sonian Forest!
That’s why we’re all about respecting the Natura 2000 guidelines and protecting this beautiful forest and its inhabitants.
– Noise is kept to a minimum to not disturb wildlife
– For the same reason, we limit outdoor lighting in certain areas
– Our heating systems are optimized to help preserve nature
– Bats? We’ve got their backs, by dimming the lights and automatically closing blinds to protect their habitats.
– Wondering why there are geese around the pool? It was their home before it was ours. So, we let them be—plus, they make the best lifeguards!

Sustainability starts at home, so we’re proud to keep it local.
At Mix, you’ll find the biggest supporters of our local entrepreneurs. We’re dedicated to making the most sustainable and ethical choices in any way we can. Guests can enjoy a selection of Belgian-supplied items that meet strict standards.
– Such as Habeebee, 100% natural soap from bees made just 1km from our location.
– Beers brewed by Brussels Beer Project and traditional Dandoy Belgian treats.
– We also feature Kazidomi, local biological produce, in our restaurants.
– And serve top-tier Torrefactory coffee, sourced from local experts.
Small act, big impact; Bees are tiny, but their role in biodiversity is massive. 80% of all plant species reproduce thanks to their pollination power.

Waste-reduced, and sustainable
Hotels and restaurants contribute to 12% of global food waste. A tremendous shame. That’s why our three restaurants share a kitchen. It reduces their waste and maximizes efficiency.
Small act, big impact;Leftover fruit from breakfast is blended into delicious juices at Joule, and any remaining food is offered for free to members in our coworking space to minimize waste.
Another small act: With so many guests and members coming in to work out, our lost-and-found items often accumulate. Every week, unclaimed clothing is donated to charity, totaling 5,000 pieces in 2024.

History and creativity merging mindfully
We don’t break things down to build anew; we focus on finding the perfect locations for our hotels and wellness centers, while honoring their heritage. Take Mix Brussels, our first project in the iconic 1969 Royale Belge building, where we preserved its unique character and incorporated sustainable practices like material reuse and recycling.
– The interior renovation was a collaborative effort led by Lionel Jadot, who worked alongside 52 artists from the Zaventem Atelier.
– Local artists created a unique space that chooses craftsmanship over industrial design.
– Notable pieces include Papier Boulette, a circular art installation made from cardboard waste, and contributions from emerging and renowned artists such as Krist Studio, Maison Jonckers, and Arnaud Declerck.
The rehabilitation of the Royale Belge received a European Heritage Europa Nostra Award for “Conservation and Adaptive Reuse”. We’re also proud to have won 2 MIPIM Awards in 2024.

Putting the ‘co’ in contribute
Let’s take a look at what we want to achieve with and especially for our community in 2025 and 2026. Giving back any way we can, we’re excited to collaborate with local charities and non-profits, hosting events to raise funds and organising blood drives.Got an idea for a great event or a non-profit you’d like us to support? Send it our way!
Our promise stretches way beyond our Brussels 180 rooms, 3 restaurants, event venue and 5500 m2 gym & wellness center. Community and bringing people together are at the heart of what we do. Across Europe, we’re developing spaces that focus on healthy habits, calm minds and meaningful connections.
As we expand, we’ll offer club memberships and retreat destinations designed for holistic wellness. All while continuously improving and actively working towards the Clef verte certification in 2025.
